Ballad of Wali Mohammad’s Line
By – A. Asad (Abdul Asad)
In Kurthiya fields, winds still sing,
Of Wali Mohammad, noble king.
A lion at heart, in justice stood,
A Zamindar proud of brotherhood.
His son Gulhasan bore the flame,
Kept freedom’s song in every name.
Through tyrant’s shadow and the chain,
He raised the sun through India’s pain.
Then Abdul Jabbar’s name took fire,
A Chaudhary, proud, full of desire.
He gave his land, a noble start,
A madarsa grew with learning’s heart.
The children came from far and near,
Their minds alight with hope sincere.
In fields of learning his name will shine,
A guiding light through every time.
A Chaudhary fair, with heart so true,
He judged with care in all he knew.
No wrong could stand where he held sway,
Justice and honor marked his way.
Twelve villages spoke with one tone,
Their voices cried, “This land our own.”
The soil was rich with courage deep,
Their dreams in wind the angels keep.
Then came Abdul Samad’s faithful hand,
Who walked with pride in freer land.
No chains remained, no foreign might,
Their past a sword, their future bright.
Then Abdul Asad, the poet’s soul,
He gave their story a burning goal.
A thousand songs of nation’s pride,
Where truth and love and honor bide.
From landlord roots to service high,
My father served where duties lie.
Freedom had bloomed where courage grew,
And history drank the morning dew.
Their tales I weave in verse refined,
So roots stay strong for hearts aligned.
For heritage is not just claim,
But torch to lift our nation’s name.
This ballad rings through time’s embrace,
A proud Shajra crowned with grace.
Their saga told in verses fine,
A poet born from a noble line.
Through storms and trials, their courage shows,
Their legacy in honor grows.
May future sons recall it well,
The story that the ages tell.
